- 7 Euro-productions and a tribute to British Cinema at the 18th Paris Film Festival, from 24 March to 1 April

British actor Malcolm McDowell, the star of Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange will head the jury of the 18th Paris Film Festival, scheduled to run from 24 March to 1 April 2003. He replaces Rupert Everett who is unable to attend as he will be filming.
The jury for the official competition also includes Elisabeth Depardieu, director Claire Denis, producer Jean-Louis Livi (Film par Film) and actress Judith Godrèche (L’auberge espagnole). They will have to choose the best of 14 titles, both first and second films, none of which has ever been released in France. The European contingent includes Cendres et Cachotteries (Some Secrets) by Alice Nellis (Czech Republic); Hukkle by Hungary’s Gyorgy Palfi; Merci... Docteur Rey !, a Franco-British co-production by Andrew Litvack; The Experience by Oliver Hirschbiegel; Remake by Diino Mustafic, a Franco-Bosnian co-production and two French features: Quand je vois le soleil by Jacques Cortal and Toutes les filles sont folles by Pascale Pouzadoux.
