The BLS, Film Fund & Commission of the Alto Adige has allocated its second round of funding this year, a sum of €1,791,000 to nine projects, including six titles from Italy, two from Austria and one from Germany. Among these projects, eight have received production funding and one pre-production. In all, about 200 days of filming is programmed in the Alto Adige region.

The most handsome sum was attributed to Alessandro Siani for the film Il principe abusivo, produced by Cattleya starring Siani himself (€400,000). BLS is also backing Die Rote Wand directed by Hubert Schonegger (Geosfilm, €200,000); Aquadro by Stefano Lodovichi (Mood Film, €167,000); Mountain Heroes by Michele Melani (Formasette, €100,000); Né ora né mai by Francesco Prisco (Nuvola Film, €60,000) and Frei by German director Bernd Fischerauer (Tellux-Film, €350,000); Das finstere Tal by Austrian helmer Andreas Prohaska (Allegro Film, €329,000) and Blind by his compatriot Thomas Woschitz (KGP Kranzelbinder Gabriele Production, €155,000).

Pre-production funding has been granted only to Un confine incerto, directed by Isabella Sandri and Giuseppe Gaudino (Gaundri, €30,000).

The third session of funding allocation by BLS Film Fund & Commission of the Alto Adige is fixed for September 19, 2012.
