German Films assists theatrical releases of local titles abroad

- German Films has allocated €55,000 for the release of eight films abroad

In its fourth sitting for 2012, the Distribution Support Awards Committee decided to fund eight foreign theatrical campaigns for German films, for a total of €55,000.

The committee decided to support the following films:

Since 2005, the Distribution Support funding programme has supported the theatrical release of German films abroad by financing additional measures over and above the release campaign already planned by the foreign distributors. The subsidies, up to €50,000, are granted in the form of a conditionally repayable loan. Funding of up to €10,000 can also be allocated as a grant.
