13/03/2003 - 7th Cinénygma will run from 27 March to 4 April with Méliès d'Or for the best European fantasy film

The 7th edition of the Cinénygma Luxembourg International Film Festival will take place in Utopolis in the Grand Duchy from 27 March to 4 April. The programme includes Cypher by Vincenzo Natali, Maléfique by Eric Vallette and Doctor Sleep by Nick Willing. There are short and feature competitions and the best film at the festival will be rewarded with the very first Grand Prix Cinénygma. Alan Parker’s highly acclaimed The Life of David Gale [+see also:

film profile] will open the festival which will end with the traditional Fantasy Film Night on 4 April.
On Saturday 29 March, the Méliès D’Or for best European fantasy film of the year will go to one of the eight winners of Silver Meliès awards at various earlier film events that belong to the European Federation of Fantasy Film Festivals.
