As part of the 28th Warsaw Film Festival, the eighth edition of CentEast is to welcome numerous European film industry professionals from October 19 to 21, with the aim to give Eastern European films international visibility and to boost their distribution opportunities.

For the fourth year in a row, the programme is to feature CentEast Warsaw-Moscow, to unveil ten Eastern European productions that are "works in progress" on October 16 in Russia (at the Red Square Screenings) and on October 19 in Warsaw. The event is to be completed by the Warsaw Screenings to present a wide array of recent Polish films, as well as the brand-new China-Europe Film Promotion Project (CEFPP), an event intended to boost contact between the European and Chinese film industries in order to open up distribution channels for auteur films from both sides.
