Dalle & Depardieu Jr in Process

by

Anglo-American writer-director C.S. Leigh just wrapped his third feature film, the Euros3m Process, starring Béatrice Dalle and Guillaume Dépardieu. The Franco-British co-production by Humbert Balsan’s company, (Paris Classics production) and British newcomer Mark Westaway of Copperfield Communications, was made over an eight-week period on location in Paris and London.
After making his debut in 2001 with Far From China, starring Sixties pop idol Marianne Faithfull and Lambert Wilson, C.S. Leigh’s second feature was the highly acclaimed Nude, Descending (2001), starring Katia Outinen, who won the best actress award at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival.
Leigh’s assembled an impressive crew for Process that includes Greek filmmaker Theo Angelopoulos’ favourite DP, Yorgos Arvanantis, composer John Cale and French director Leos Carax in a supporting role.
Process will be released in both French and English-language versions and will thus benefit from the financial sweeteners offered by the UK’s Sale and Leaseback scheme.
