RIFF 2013 registration is now open

Registration for the twelfth edition of the RIFF - Rome Independent Film Festival will remain open until December 15. The festival will be taking place on 4-12 April 2013 in the Nuovo Aquila cinema. All information on participation can be found on RIFF’s official website (www.riff.it).

RIFF gives filmmakers from around the world the opportunity to premiere their own films in Italy. The New Frontiers category should be of especial interest. For the last six years, it has been presenting debut and second films and is a place for meeting and discovering new cinematographic talents.

Over 150 films will be selected for the competition. There are eight sections making up the festival: Feature Films (Italian and international feature length films); New Frontiers (debut and second films); Documentary Films (Italian and international); Short Films (Italian and International); International Student Films (film schools); Animation; Screenplays & Subject and the Movie Pitcher Contest.

The 2013 RIFF programme will be completed by retrospectives and seminars, which will look into different aspects of independent cinema. RIFF awards will be given out towards the end of the festival to the value of €50,000.
