Shooting Stars 2013 head to Berlin
- The European Film Promotion unveils names of ten actors who will head to Berlin
The European Film Promotion has unveiled this morning the list of 10 European actors selected as the 2013 Shooting Stars to be showcased February 9 – 11 at the 63rd Berlinale. A jury of international industry professionals chose the talent for their outstanding work in feature films and their potential ability to expand their careers on the world’s acting stage. EFP member organizations originally submitted 27 candidates for final selection.
The jury defined the list of the ten actors as “a perfect mix between astonishing newcomers and talents we had already seen before, but who have taken their careers to a new level this year…Our final choice will cast the spotlight on true artists who deserve this exposure. We are very curious to see how their careers develop in the future.”
The Shooting Stars 2013 will attend a three-day programme of events during the Berlinalethat includes one-on-one interviews with international Casting Directors, various presentations to the world’s film industry, a press conference, photoshoots and a workshop. The programme culminates in ceremony in which they will be receiving the Shooting Stars award.
Former Shooting Stars include the now established Daniel Craig, Carey Mulligan, Mélanie Laurent, Elena Anaya, Moritz Bleibtreu and many others.
