22/02/2013 - The Swedish filmmaker, noticed in Cannes with Involuntary and Play, will film for three weeks in the Alps, from March 18th

On March 18^th, Swedish director Ruben Östlund (photo) will begin the shooting of his fourth feature film Tourist with three weeks of filming in France, in the Alps (more precisely in the resort of Les Arcs).

film profile] (unveiled in the Directors' Fortnight in 2011), Ruben Östlund will this time tell the tale of the mishaps of a Swedish family on a skiing holiday in France and the consequences of the cowardly behaviour of a father who panics during an avalanche.

Produced by the Swedish company Plattform Produktion, Tourist is co-produced by France (Société Parisienne de Production and Rhône-Alpes Cinéma) and Denmark. The Parisian company Coproduction Office will take care of international sales.
