Cineuropa partners the Brussels Film Festival, Bertrand Tavernier as guest of honour

- Cineuropa renews its collaboration with the festival which, for this 11th edition, will welcome Bertrand Tavernier as guest of honour

From June 19th to 26th, the Brussels Film Festival will propose, besides the official competition, international premieres, special screenings, a Panorama of films to be discovered, professional encounters, open-air screenings, but also a musical section.

 and Death Watch, will give a cinema lesson to share a fraction of his knowledge and love for the Seventh Art. A retrospective at the Cinematek will allow the public to discover or rediscover some of his most important work.

 by Andrea Segre, will also be presented at the festival, followed by a meeting with members of the European Parliament focusing on a main theme dedicated to “access to culture for all European citizens”. 

The Brussels Film Festival is also strengthening its winning combination based on music and the cinema by enriching its programme with music documentaries, concerts, as well as evenings hosted by DJs.

The event will also form an integral part of this year’s Music Festival, with a special-theme programme on Friday, June 21st.

As in every other year, Cineuropa will award a prize at the end of the festival to one of the films in competition. Last year, Death for Sale [+see also:
