is once again being programmed on 60 Italian screens by courtesy of 01 Distribution. First released in Italy in November 2002, The Pianist scored a box office take of Euros4.5m.
The re-release was announced by Giuliano Montaldo, the president of Rai Cinema: "Polanski’s highly emotional direction has touched a cord in audiences the world over. This film fully deserves all the awards it has won, especially the all-important one for best adapted screenplay, and this demonstrates once again that quality, commitment and a good story always bring in good results.”
