Hollywood superstar, two-time Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner John Travolta will be presented the Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema at the upcoming Karlovy Vary International Film Festival – the largest film event in central and eastern Europe. “A gala screening of the film Killing Season will also be held on the occasion,” the festival´s press release reads.

French actress Audrey Tautou – star of Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s Amélie, which won the festival in 2001, where the film ignited her international career – will return to present the opening film, Michel Gondry's (also in attendance) Mood Indigo [+see also:

The festival has also revealed its juries. As previously announced, director Agnieszka Holland will preside over the Grand Jury with Berlinale winner, director Claudia Llosa and producer Sigurjon Sighvatsson (Basquiat, Wild at Heart) on board.
