Co-signed by Cédric Kahn and Nathalie Najem, the screenplay focuses on Philippe Fournier, nicknamed Paco, who lives with his 6 and 7 year-old sons, whom he took away from their mother who had gained custody of them after their separation. Children, then teenagers, Okyesa and Tsali Fournier live hidden with their father, under fake identities, hunted by the police, but living a free, nomadic life. They experience clandestinity, danger, fear, but also total communion with nature and their animals. They show full solidarity for people they meet on the road and feed off the happiness of living “outside the system”. On the run for 11 years throughout the South of France, their journey forges their identities until justice catches up with them...

film profile]), Vie sauvage benefits from coproductions from France 2 Cinéma and the Belgian company Les Films du Fleuve (managed by the Dardenne brothers). Also backed by an advance on receipts from the CNC, the Programme Media, Procirep, LBPI, SoficinéTV, Soficinéma and Manon Développement, the movie will be shot until January 2014 (notably in the Languedoc-Roussillon region). French distribution and international sales will be handled by Le Pacte.
