After kicking off in Veneto this May, filming for Carlo Mazzacurati’s (photo) latest film La regina della neve has now been moved to Trentino. film profile]) tells the story of beautician and a tattoo artist in search of the break which will change their lives. “Curiously, both take care of the surface,” Mazzacurati explains, “and they will be at the centre of an absurd and mad story: a mixture of mad comedy and sentimental film. The provisional title is reminiscent of fairy tales (the title translates as the Snow Queen, a tale by Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen) and in a way, the tale like dimension is present throughout the film.”  

After taking place in Veneto and Trentino, shooting for La regina della neve will conclude in Rome on July 11. The film will be distributed next season by 01 Distribution.
