, directed by William Olsson, was launched in Sweden.

After Simon Sandquist’s Studentfesten, which was premiered in April, Endre (photo) – the son of actors Lena Endre and Thomas Hanzon– performs in the latest thriller from Camilla Läckberg’s novels, about a successful author (Claudia Galli) who after her parents’ deaths in a car crash and another murder realises that her mother kept dark secrets from her past.

“I have worked hard for this since I was 16,” Endre told local press about his acting career. His next assignment will be the second season of Vikings, the American historical drama series directed by Johan Renck, which HBO aired to six million viewers when it started last year. Regulars in the cast include Swedish actor Gustaf Skarsgård.

The daughter of Swedish actress Pernilla August and Danish director Bille August, Alba August plays the lead in Olsson’s psychological drama about 15-year-old Selinda, who is molested by a masked man in the night after a party, and the consequences for the rest of the family when they wake up the following day.

“Yes, I would like to work with my parents, then we would have more time to socialize. I am sure it could also be tedious and annoying, but it would certainly be fun,” said August, who has also landed a role in the new season of Murders in Sandhamn, TV4’s crime series from Swedish author Viveca Steen’s novels.
