The Fifth Season arrives at the heart of the summer

In stark contrast with the gridlock that affects autumn releases, the heart of the summer season is usually signalled in France by a very reasonable – if not limited – number of new films: nine this Wednesday, just like last week, and only seven on July 31st. Deserted by the great majority of French distributors, this period is put to good use by the subsidiaries of major American studios and French companies that bet on non-national European titles.
