- Il più bel giorno della mia vita wins Audience and Grand Prix at French Festival of Women's Cinema & gets Dutch release

Italian film director Cristina Comencini scored a double victory at the 25th edition of the International Women’s Film Festival of Creteil and takes home the Grand Prix and the Audience Awards.
The film has already won a long list of important prizes like the Gran Prix of the Americas assigned in Montreal in 2002.
It is hoped that this success will contribute to speeding up this film’s French release. To date, Il più bel giorno della mia vita was only released domestically in April of last year (and took a reported Euros2.5million) although it is scheduled to come out in Holland on 17 April.
Twenty features took part in the Creteil competition and the jury gave a special mention to the directorial debut by Germany’s Sülbiye V. Günar with Karamuk while the Women Journalists’ Association of France presented The Day I Will Never Forget by the UK’s Kim Longinotto with their Best Film award.
