The Sarajevo Film Festival (Aug 16-24) has announced juries for its feature, short and documentary competitions, as well as the jury for the festival’s EFA short film nominee.

The jury of the Feature Film Competition will be presided by Danis Tanović (photo) whose An Episode in the Life of an Iron Picker [+see also:

willopen the festival. The other four members are Serbian actor Uliks Fehmiu, German DoP Christine A. Maier, Artistic Director of the Cannes Critic's Week Charles Tesson, and Romanian actress Mirela Oprisor.

The Short Film Competition jury is comprised of the Program Managerof the Berlinale’s Panorama Paz Lázaro, Bosnian artist Mladen Miljanović, and Romanian director Paul Negoescu.

American writer and producer Joslyn Barnes, film historian and curator Jasmine Bašić form Switzerland and Danish writer-director Vibeke Bryld will serve on the Documentary Competition jury.

Finally, the Sarajevo Short Film Nominee for the European Film Awards 2013 will be chosen by Israeli screenwriter, director and actress Hagar Ben-Asher, director and selector of Portugal’s Vila do Conde short film festival Miguel Dias, and Croatian actress Leona Paraminski
