Too Short To Die

Beginning on September 16, ‘Too Short To Die’ is a new workshop designed to develop short screenplays for filmmakers in Europe with 12 selected projects coming from seven different European countries.

Taking place in the Southern Lithuanian town of Druskininkai, the 5-day workshop will focus on the development of both analytic and creative abilities as well as writing a short film that can appeal to international audiences.

The workshop will be guided by two international advisors who will help the participants hone their ideas and take them through the process from initial thoughts to final draft. These include lecturer and adviser Jan Fleischer who will work alongside development consultant and script editor, lecturer and voting member of BAFTA, Angeli Macfarlane.

Aside from developing the skills of those attending, the workshop hopes to emphasize the importance of screenplays and screenwriters in the minds of both audiences and industry and a public lecture with both tutors will take place in Vilnius on September 20.

The organizers of the IN_Script workshop are the Lithuanian Film Centre, British Council and Media Desk Lithuania.
