- Pim van Hoeve's Liever verliedfd breaks the 100,000 attendance barrier over three weeks and winning the "Golden Film" award

Pim van Hoeve’s romantic comedy, Liever verliedfd (Love to Love) has broken the 100,000 ticket-sales barrier after three weeks in general release in Holland. Distributor Independent Films also announced that the film had won the "Golden Film" statuette that was set up in September 2001 by the Dutch Film Federation (NFC), the Netherlands FilmFund, Fine BV (Netherlands Film Investment) and the Netherlands Film Festival (NFF) to stimulate the local film industry in Holland and encourage the public to go and see Dutch films. Initially the Golden Film award was given to Dutch films that had sold over 75,000 tickets and past winners include De Tweeling – Twin Sisters, Minoes and Yes Nurse, No Nurse. As of 1 January of this year, films had to have sold at least 100,000 tickets in order to win the award.
Liever verliedfd stars Miryanna van Reeden, Chris Zegers and Romijn Conen and is about a woman who, after having made some serious mistakes, decides never to fall in love again... until, that is, she meets the two men of her dreams.
