Filming has started in Trieste for Gabriele Salvatores’s much anticipated film Il ragazzo invisibile, about the extraordinary adventures of Michele, a 13-year-old superhero with the gift of invisibility. The cast includes Valeria Golino, Fabrizio Bentivoglio, Ksenia Rappoport, Aleksei Guskov, and Ludovico Girardello and Noa Zatta for the first time on screen. Filming will take place almost exclusively in Trieste and will last 12 weeks.
“Lately, I have been interested in stories about adolescence: that extraordinary moment of change where you either feel transparent in front of others or like you are taking up too much space and you would like to disappear,” Gabriele Salvatores wrote in a note for the press. “These emotions come to life in a great adventure story that plays with the image of superheroes, seeking to touch the child that exists within all of us and bring out the dreams and desires that are able to interest adults as well,” the Academy Award winner concluded.
Written by Alessandro Fabbri, Ludovica Rampoldi and Stefano Sardo, Il ragazzo invisibile is a coproduction between Italy and France: Indigo Film (The Great Beauty [+see also:
