Adrian Wootton Film London CEO

Adrian Wootton, the acting director of the British Film Institute, has just been appointed Chief Executive of the new body, Film London, in charge of promoting and developing the film and media industries in the English capital.
Wootton, who has been with the BFI for the last ten years, will leave the organisation at the end of May and will be succeeded by the new director, Amanda Nevill.
Commenting on his new position, Wootton said: “Film London will be an organisation about partnership, adding value to and co-ordinating film activities in London. I look forward to taking forward the strategies of Film London supported by the Film Council, the London Development Agency, the GLA and SkillSet.”
Sandy Lieberson, the chairman of London Film since last February also announced today the appointment of six new Board members: Claire Binns, director of the art-house exhibition group City Screen, producers Marc Boothe and Jeremy Thomas, Tony Elliot, chairman of weekly Time Out Magazine, Will Clarke, managing director of specialist distribution company Optimum Releasing, and David Martin, chief executive of the Production Guild of Great Britain.
