Screen Australia to benefit from a quarter century of Sally Caplan’s experience

Screen Australia, the lead agency for film in the country, has appointed British veteran Sally Caplan as Head of Production. Caplan has over 25 years of international experience in the film industry. She began her career as a solicitor specialising in entertainment law. In her most recent role as Managing Director of Entertainment One (EOne), she oversaw its international film sales operations out of the UK. Before joining EOne, Caplan headed the Premiere Fund of the UK Film Council for five years, where she was responsible for funding and overseeing the production from script stage of over 45 films, including titles The King’s Speech [+see also:

. Prior to the UK Film Council, Caplan held senior acquisition, distribution and production positions at Icon Film Distribution, Momentum Pictures and Universal Pictures International.

Sally Caplan will begin her new role in early 2014 after relocating from the UK.
