Eight Turkish cities host the European Union Human Rights Film Days

The Delegation of European Union to Turkey will organize in cooperation with the representations and cultural centres of the EU Member States the third edition of the European Union Human Rights Film Days, as part of the Human Rights Day events. Although the Human Rights Day is celebrated on December 10 - marking the anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations on 10 December 1948 -, the screenings will take place from December 6 to 15, in 8 different Turkish cities: Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Bursa, Eskişehir, Trabzon, Sinop and Diyarbakır.

The festival will screen Turkish dubbed versions of Pascal Plisson’s Locarno-entry On the Way to School [+see also:

in a session for kids, and Laurent Boileau and Jung’s Approved for Adoption [+see also:

in another one for teenagers. Turkish filmmakers Ali Aydýn’s Lion of the Future winner Mold, Reha Erdem’s Jin, Nefin Dinc’s The Other Town and Can Candan's LGBT documentary My Child will be also shown at the festival, among others. 

Directors, producers and actors of some films will be present for Q&A sessions, alongside French sociologist and expert on human trafficking Olivier Peyroux. Also, Barcelona Human Rights Film Festival curator Toni Navarro will be running workshops on documentary making and crowd funding.
