- After one month, Swedish producer Charlotte Denward has been promoted to head of production at Svensk Film Industri’s restructured production division

After one month as production chief at Swedish major, Svensk Filmindustri (SF), former manager of production funding and promotion at the Swedish Film Institute Charlotte Denward has been promoted to be head of the company’s restructured production division, also including the newly-acquired Tre Vänner outfit.

Denward will be responsible for all Svensk Filmindustri and Tre Vänner feature film television and web productions in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, as well as all co-productions with independent companies in the region.

“Co-productions are very important to us - working with different companies and producers provides us with possibilities and a diversity we do not have in-house. We will also be able to increase the collaboration between Nordic countries, which is a big advantage, especially from a creative point of view,” Denward explained.

, SF’s upcoming releases in Sweden include Per Åhlin, Alicja Jaworski Björk and Lasse Persson’s Emil and Ida of Lönneberga (with Astrid Lindgren’s characters)andElisabet Gustafsson’s Annabell Olsson's Spectacularities, co-produced with Filmlance.

In another move, the Swedish Film Institute has appointed Rebecka Ioannidis Lindberg asnew head of communications, to succeed Åsa Garnert who has left the institute after six years to launch her own company in Stockholm.

Lindberg, who will begin in the job in early 2014, has most recently been head of communications at Stockholm’s Stadsteatern Culture House; a former chief editor and publisher of Dagens Media, she was marketing director at Swedish pubcaster, Sveriges Radio between 2006-2012.
