Power To The Pixel teams with Germany’s MFG for Pixel Lab

Power To The Pixel has partnered with German funding body Medien-und Filmgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg (MFG) on The Pixel Lab 2014. 2014’s Pixel Lab will begin with a six-day workshop in Baden-Württemberg. Mentoring will be provided by cross-media experts including Michel Reilhac, storyteller and Head of Studies, Venice Biennale College; Nuno Bernardo, CEO, beActive; Diana Elbaum, Producer, Entre Chien et Loup; Thomas Howalt, Games Producer and Writer; Adam Sigel, Content Strategist, Writer & Producer; and Inga von Staden, Media Architect.

Liz Rosenthal, CEO of Power to the Pixel, said, “We’re delighted that MFG has come on board this year’s Pixel Lab to share its experience and expertise in funding innovative and commercially successful projects across different platforms with the project creators who will be taking part in the lab.”

Projects that MFG and its subsidiaries have invested in include The Inner World, winner of the Deutsche Entwicklerpreis and the IndiePrize; Milli, winner of the Cinekid Pixel Market Prize 2013; and ARTE hit documentary and interactive project The Builder’s Challenge.

Prof. Carl Bergengruen, CEO of MFG said: “Hosting The Pixel Lab is a great opportunity to bring together all the creative sectors in Baden-Württemberg.
