Her husband and her two sons are reunited for the first time in years. A family secret then resurfaces, plunging their seemingly calm lives into chaos.

The branch of the Franco-German channel dedicated to the seventh art has also selected Babi Yar by the fascinating Ukrainian director Sergeï Loznitsa, which was chosen to compete in Cannes against My Joy [+see also:

Produced by ARP, GP Film and Pronto Film, his new project reconstructs the chain of events that led to a long-undisclosed tragedy: the death of 33,771 Jews from Kiev, who were shot on 29 and 30 September 1941 in the Babi Yar Ravine, after having been taken to the Germans by the town’s inhabitants.
