After its extraordinary initial run, the number of Italian cinemas playing Belle et Sebastien [+see also:

 has been increased to exceed 500. Starting from tomorrow, the independent distribution company Notorious Pictures will add 200 cinemas to the already 360 playing the film. The French film by Nicolas Vanier has been out since January 30 and has already grossed €2.6 million at the box-office.

Belle et Sebastien’s success is also being confirmed on social networks: in the last week, over 500,000 users have watched posts surrounding it on the Notorious Pictures fan page. A nostalgia effect could explain the success of the film based on animation cartoon from the 1980s, having been able to involve grown up audiences too.
