Norwegian actress-director Mona Fastvold’s feature debut, The Sleepwalker – an English-language psychological drama shot in the US – was launched at the Sundance Film Festival, released domestically last week (on January 31 by Norsk Filmdistribusjon) and will now be promoted in Berlin by the Danish international sales agent, LevelK

Fastvold scripted the film with American writer-director Brady Corbet.It is about a young couple, Kaia and Andrew (played by Gitte Witt and Christopher Abbott), whose relationship is thrown into chaos by the unexpected arrival of Kaia’s sister (Stephanie Ellis), who has a somewhat confused perception of reality.

LevelK’s managing director, Tine Klint, has prepared an international line-up for the European Film Market, which also includes another Sundance entry, Berit Madsen’s first full-length documentary, Sepideh – Reaching for the Stars [+see also:

, which was picked up for the US and Canada by Apple. The company will make it available immediatelyon iTunes.

Selected for a Berlinale Gala, the three-hour Australian drama, The Turning, starring Cate Blanchett and Rose Byrne, recounts the turning points in the life of Vic Lang (Richard Roxburgh) and the people around him. It has been adapted from Tim Winton’s short stories and sees the participation of 18 directors.
