Cortellesi and Bova together again in Scusate se esisto!
- Filming kicks off for Riccardo Milani’s new film, produced by Fulvio and Federica Lucisano with RaiCinema
After Nessuno mi può giudicare [+see also:
film profile], Paola Cortellesi goes back to joining forces with Raoul Bova in Scusate se esisto!, Riccardo Milani’s (Benvenuto Presidente! [+see also:
film profile]) new film, for which shooting began on February 24. Produced by Fulvio and Federica Lucisano for Italian International Film with Rai Cinema, the sixth feature length film by the Roman director, stars Corrado Fortuna (recently seen in Amiche da morire [+see also:
film profile]), Lunetta Savino (Tutto tutto niente niente [+see also:
film profile]), with Marco Bocci (C'è chi dice no [+see also:
film profile]) and participation from Ennio Fantastichini.
Written by Giulia Calenda, Paola Cortellesi, Furio Andreotti and Riccardo Milani, the screenplay tells the story of Serena, a talented architect who, after a series of professional success stories abroad, decides to come back to her beloved Italy. Her return is more adventurous than expected. One day, she meets impossibly handsome and charming Francesco. The two start a relationship and come to live together. But in order to get what they deserve, the two lie to each other about who they are: because sometimes in Italy the easiest way to be yourself is to pretend to be someone else.
Shooting for Cortellesi (David di Donatello 2011 for best actress in Nessuno mi può giudicare, and recently seen in Un boss in salotto and Sotto una buona stella) and Bova’s (who recently played a catastrophic boyfriend in Indovina chi viene a Natale?) latest project will take place over seven or eight weeks in Rome, Abruzzo and London. The film will be distributed by 01 Distribution next cinema season.
