Written by the director in collaboration with Pascal Arnold, the storyline recounts the tale of a simple woman with a strong personality who bears feelings of rejection towards her too violent son, a sort of wild child. She endures her status as a mother. The conflict is constant and even extreme at times and yet despite everything, thanks to the remnants of their love, they seek to fight together to reverse society’s stigmatising view of them, and thus reinvent their lives.

Produced by Nicolas Blanc for Agat Films, Une mère enjoys Ciné+ presales and an advance on returns from CNC. Backed also by Pictanovo, the Haute-Normandie region and Sofica Sofitvcine, the film will be shot from 20 March to 30 April in Nord-Pas de Calais and around Dieppe. Distribution in France and international sales will be operated by Les Films du Losange.
