The French Nord-Pas-de-Calais region has selected (via Pictanovo) the second feature film by Ounie Lecomte, Je vous souhaite d'être follement aimée [+see also:

Written by the director together with Agnès de Sacy, the story revolves around Elisa, a physiotherapist. As her relationship with her partner is on the brink of collapse, she leaves to move in with her young son, Noé, in Dunkirk, a city where she was born to an unidentified mother. Six months earlier, Elisa had set about doing some research of her own, but the anonymous mother who had abandoned her had refused to reveal her identity. As she perseveres in her impossible search for her unknown mother, her past and their history together, Elisa refuses to give up and wants to be able to understand – but fate will shatter her hopes...
Produced by Laurent Lavolée for Gloria Films (the producer of A Brand New Life), Je vous souhaite d'être follement aimée is benefitting from a promised advance on receipts by the CNC and a pre-purchase by Ciné+. Distribution in French theatres will be handled by Diaphana and international sales by Films Distribution. The shoot will take place during June and July in Ile-de-France and Nord-Pas-de-Calais.
