Jimmy’s Hall is likely to be 77-year-old Loach’s last narrative film, as his producer Rebecca O’Brien has indicated, but he might continue directing documentaries. Starring Barry Ward and Simone Kirby, the film deals with Jimmy Gralton, who in 1921 built a dance hall on a rural crossroads in Ireland where young people could come to learn, to argue and to dream. It is a Sixteen Films (UK), Element Pictures (Ireland), Why Not Productions (France) and Wild Bunch (France) production made with the support of the British Film Institute (BFI), the Irish Film Board and Film4. Entertainment One will release the film in the UK and Ireland on 30 May. Wild Bunch is handling international sales.

Timothy Spall plays the great British artist JMW Turner in Mr Turner. This all-British film is a Thin Man Films production backed by Film4, the BFI and Focus Features International, with the participation of LipSync and Xofa Productions. Entertainment One will release the film in the UK on 31 October.

Starring Fred Schmidt, Aymen Hamdouchi and Martin Askew, Snow in Paradise follows Dave, who thrives on drugs and violence in London's East End. When his actions kill his best friend, Tariq, he finds Islam and a new peace, but his old life comes back to haunt him. The UK’s Ipso Facto Films produced, and The Match Factory is handling international sales. A release date has not been announced yet.
