’s depiction of the consequences of school bullying, as filmed by Dutch director Dave Schram, was awarded the European Film Academy Young Audience Award during the Young Audience Film Day on 4 May.

The prize was awarded by an audience of 12- to 14-year-olds, straight after the screenings of the three nominated films – Regret!, Martin Miehe-Renard’s The Contest [+see also:

and Katja von Garnier’s Windstorm [+see also:

– across 17 European cities. The results were reported live via video conference to Erfurt (Germany), where the German jury speakers presented the award to Schram, who expressed his hope that the film might help to do something about the problem of bullying.
