The colourful children’s comedy Fiddlesticks [+see also:

film profile] will kick off the New German Films market screenings at Cannes on Friday 16 May in the Palais des Festivals. “We are delighted to present the latest German productions to the industry representatives at Cannes, under the ‘New German Films’ label,” stated Mariette Rissenbeek, head of German Films. “The right holders really appreciate this opportunity. All our screening slots are completely booked out again this year.”

In total, German Films is presenting 35 new German feature films at the festival. Among them are award-winning movies such as Banklady [+see also:
