by Hungarian virtuoso Kornel Mundruczo (read the review and watch the interview with the director) has tonight won the Un Certain Regard Prize at the 67th Cannes Festival, awarded by the jury chaired by Argentinian Pablo Trapero. An astounding and harsh parable about the misadventures of a dog and a teenage girl in a cruel world, the film was produced by Viktória Petrányi and Eszter Gyárfás for Proton Cinema, and was co-produced by German firm Pola Pandora, Sweden's The Chimney Pot and Hungarian outfit Filmpartners. International sales of the movie are handled by The Match Factory.
