The film’s budget amounts to approximately €2 million, making it one of the most expensive local productions of the last two decades. Parada Film will have co-production partners from France and Germany, and may receive a generous grant from the Romanian National Film Center, as the institution will soon announce the winners of the second project contest organised in 2014.
This month, Netzer will start the casting process for the movie. As for the challenges that the new project presents, producer Kelemen told Cineuropa that important Romanian figures will have cameos in Ana, Mon Amour. Netzer is the first Romanian director to have convinced an important politician to star in his film: it happened in 2009, when former Romanian president Ion Iliescu had a small cameo in Medal of Honor [+see also:
One month after Child's Pose won the Golden Bear, the film was released domestically, going on to become the most popular Romanian film of the last decade, taking 117,000 admissions. In March 2014, Child's Pose won eight Gopos at the Romanian film industry awards.
