The movie, produced by Pepito Produzioni with Rai Cinema and with the support of the Apulia Film Commission, will be played by an exceptional cast made up of Raoul Bova, Liz Solari, Dino Abbrescia, Nino Frassica, Sabrina Impacciatore, Neri Marcoré, Giulia Michelini, Rolando Ravello, Sergio Rubini, Paolo Sassanelli, Pietro Sermonti and Emilio Solfrizzi.

Created by Paolo Genovese, Pietro Calderoni and Gualtiero Rosella, the screenplay tells the tale of Guia a 30-year-old, who works for a prestigious international fashion magazine, drives a luxury convertible, travels by private jet and lives between Milan and Paris. She has everything, or at least she thinks she has everything, until she finds herself in an isolated village in Apulia where she will encounter Renzo, a charming local farmer. She realises that the only thing that she’s missing is love, true love. And when happiness is just a stone’s throw away, she won’t know how to grab it.

Sei mai stata sulla luna? is a romantic comedy suspended between the city and the  countryside that narrates the meeting of two different worlds. The small village in Apulia is turned upside-down by the arrival of the beautiful journalist Guia and her assistant. A whirlwind of hilarious and original characters bring life to this small town: the avant-garde barman Delfo and the romantic, Felice; Pino, the autistic cousin and aspiring priest; Mara, the dreamer and bank teller and Anita, the mysterious veterinarian; Oderzo, the emigrant farmer as well as the Latin teacher and notary; the real estate agent and butcher, Celestina the cow and so many others.

Filming of Sei mai stata sulla luna? will last eight weeks. The movie will be distributed in cinemas next winter by 01 Distribution.
