Written by the director (who Cineuropa met up with two years ago, at the Forum d’Avignon – read the interview), the story revolves around Claude Lherminier, who has lost none of his dignity, even now that he is over 80 years old. Dressed in a white linen suit and a colourful foulard, we join him on a plane as he jets off to Florida: on a whim, Claude has decided to visit his youngest daughter, Alice, who is now married to an American and lives in Miami. Very soon, we start to retrace our steps and discover more about the weeks that preceded Claude's trip...

Produced by Jean-Louis Livi for F Comme Film and Philippe Carcassonne for Ciné@, Floride is co-produced by Gaumont (which will be bringing the film out in France and is handling international sales), Cinéfrance 1888, France 2 Cinéma and Rhône-Alpes Cinéma. Having been pre-purchased by Canal+, Ciné+ and D8, the feature is also backed by the Sofica Manon and the Banque Postale Image, as well as by Delta Cinéma. The shoot, the entirety of which will take place in Annecy, Haute-Savoie, will wrap on 25 October.

Standing out among F Comme Film's latest productions are the three last works by the late Alain Resnais (Wild Grass [+see also:
