Finns at the Fest

Seven of the twenty-five Scandinavian films on offer to international buyers at this year’s Cannes Market are from Finland. The region’s top two film exporters, Sweden’s NonStop Sales and the Danish arm of Nordisk Film International Sales, added the following Finnish titles to their respective line ups Menolippu Mombaasan by Hannu Tuomainen, produced by Cinemaker and released domestically in September 2002 and Mosku by Tapio Suominen, produced by Fantasiafilmi and seen by over 235,000 Finnish filmgoers in February 2003 alone.
The Finnish Film Foundation is handling the sales of Jarmo Lampela’s international hit, Eila, produced by Blind Spot Pictures, and two local succcess stories: Pahat pojat [+see also:
