What happens when education is used to prevent instead of encourage the world from changing? Israeli director Tamara Erde asks just this question in her newly completed documentary This is My Land.

The documentary, developed during the 2013 round of the Euromed Audiovisual-supported Greenhouse programme, has been selected for the "Mediterranean Issues" section at the upcoming PriMed International Mediterranean Film Festival. The festival is to be held in Marseille, France, from December 8 to 13.

This is My Land explores how the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is presented and taught in a variety of educational systems, both Israeli (national, Arab and religious) and Palestinian.

Through gripping portraits of several educators interviewed and filmed in their classrooms during 2013, This is My Land strives to provide a fresh angle on and examine the roots of the conflict.

The film was produced by ILIADE & FILMS - SAYA, Tatiana Bouchain, Oury Milshtein, and Julien Loron.
