Today, the nominations for the 87th Academy Awards were unveiled at a live news conference in Los Angeles. After months of speculation, it has finally been revealed that it is Wes Anderson’s US-German co-production The Grand Budapest Hotel [+see also:

leading the nominations, alongside Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Birdman, both of which feature in nine categories, including Best Picture and Best Director.
