The Berlinale will also pay tribute to Francesco Rosi, the great Italian director who passed away at the age of 92 on 10 January, with a screening of 1970’s Many Wars Ago. Rosi won the Silver Bear at Berlin in 1962 with Salvatore Giuliano, while in 2008 he was awarded the Golden Bear for Lifetime Achievement and had a retrospective dedicated to him, which included his most famous films.
