Global Screen will start selling the apocalyptic sci-fi movie SUM1 by Christian Pasquariello at the European Film Market, which takes place during the Berlin Film Festival. Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones, Misfits, The Liberator) is set to star in the lead role as a young soldier stationed in a desolate watchtower high above a forest on a 100-day assignment. His mission is to defend the outpost against eerie, powerful alien creatures in a strange world.

) is due to begin on 9 February.

SUM1 is the first title on Syrreal Entertainment’s genre slate for which Global Screen has closed a first-look and co-development deal. “We are excited to be in business with Syrreal Entertainment,” stated Alice Buquoy, senior sales and acquisitions manager at Global Screen. “SUM1 has all the ingredients to become commercially successful and to connect with international audiences in a significant way. We look forward to presenting the first images to our clients during the EFM.”

Global Screen’s EFM line-up also includes the 3D animated movie Ooops! Noah Is Gone… by Toby Genkel, the Danish Christmas movie The Christmas Family by Carsten Rudolf and the supernatural thriller The Legend of Longwood, with Harry Potter star Miriam Margolyes and Thekla Reuten. Also among the European Film Market titles are the Gijon Film Festival Young Audience Award winner About a Girl [+see also:
