Eden, by Mia Hansen-Løve, will have its national premiere

French director Mia Hansen-Løve and US director Whit Stillman will receive a tribute in the independent heroes section of the IndieLisboa festival. The festival’s 12th edition will be celebrated from 23 April to 3 May.

One of the most renowned young directors of French film, but still relatively unknown in Portugal, Hansen-Løve will be present in the first days of the competition. IndieLisboa is dedicating a retrospective to her that includes her first three feature films – All is Forgiven [+see also:

Eden – in competition at the last San Sebastian Film Festival – features in its cast Greta Gerwig (Frances Ha), one of the actresses who also worked, in Damsels in Distress, with the other independent hero of IndieLisboa 2015, American Whit Stillman. Their movies will be screened for the first time in Portugal.

The full programme of the 12th IndieLisboa will be announced on 24 March.
