The 12th edition of the Montecarlo Comedy Film Festival

The 12th edition of the Montecarlo Comedy Film Festival, directed by Ezio Greggio and dedicated to the comedy genre, took place from 24-28 February. On Saturday, the festival closed its curtains with its traditional Gala Night and Award Ceremony at the Auditorium Ranieri III, which was followed by around 1,000 followers live (the show was also broadcast live on Italian TV).

Among the highlights of this edition were the one-and-a-half hour master class with Peter Bogdanovich, who also opened the festival with his most recent feature, She’s Funny That Way (Broadway Therapy), and the participation of many international cinema talents: Peter Bogdanovich, Gabriele Salvatores, Giancarlo Giannini, Robert Hossein, Philippe Leroy, Franco Nero, Raoul Bova, Paolo Genovese, Yllka Mujo, Josée Dayan, Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Valeria Solarino, Serena Autieri and Ursula Andress (who was handed a Lifetime Achievement Award for being "the most charming cinema actress"). Over 3,000 people attended the festival screenings over the four days.
