film profile] by Germany’s Sebastian Schipper (read the review and watch the interview) has taken home the Grand Prix from the seventh Beaune International Thriller Film Festival. The movie will be distributed on 11 June in Germany by Senator and will be released on 1 July in France by Jour2Fête and Version Originale/Condor.
Chaired by director Danièle Thompson (who was backed up by such names as Emmanuelle Bercot and Philippe Le Guay), the jury handed out two ex-aequo Jury Prizes for the extremely hard-hitting English feature Hyena [+see also:
