Written by the director herself, the screenplay centres on a boy and a girl. They live in the same building and both love music. Elise is blind, whilst Théo has perfect vision, and this difference brings them into conflict day after day. A bad joke by Théo finally brings him closer to Elise. Over time, his deceit continues, putting him in an impossible situation that risks ruining their blossoming love…

Also worth mentioning is that the two main male protagonists of the film are two brothers of Greek origin, which adds something to the film, given the culture of the country and what’s currently going on there.

Produced by David Thion for Les Films Pelléas, The Apple of My Eye is being co-produced by Arte France Cinéma. Also pre-bought by Ciné+, the feature has received financial backing from the Sofica Cinémage and the Île-de-France region, where the seven weeks of filming will take place. Distribution in France will be handled by Diaphana, whilst international sales will be managed by Les Films du Losange.
