Written by the director, the story revolves around a man who, ever since the death of his wife, has brought up his little daughter on his own in a working-class neighbourhood in Le Havre. Having got into debt with the local gang leader, he will have to burgle a house to retrieve a suitcase full of banknotes...

Produced by Hubert Caillard and Dominique Boutonnat for Elektrick Films (who founded the outfit with Alain Attal), and by Les Films de la Strada (Géla Babluani’s Paris-based company), Money is being co-produced by Jerico and Orange Studio. The six-week shoot kicked off in Normandy in May, before continuing in July. Distribution in France will be handled by Océan Films and international sales by Kinology.
