Four of the twenty short films selected for this year's Cinéfondation competition were European productions and three won.
Serbian filmmaker Emir Kusturica’s jury awarded Bezi Seko Bezi (Run Rabbit Run) by 21-year-old fellow Serb, Pavle Vuckovic, the top award. Historia del desierto by Iberian Celia Galan Julye, a student at the Royal Collage of Art in London, came second, while a German production, TV City, directed by two Argentines, Alberto Couceiro and Alejandra Tomei, shared the third prize with Rebeca a esas alturas by Mexico’s Luciana Jauffred Gorotiza.
